Online Journal

Sometimes I write.

Journaling, online or on paper, has always been a great way for me to process and share. It’s also one of the best ways to get to know me and all the experiences that create this life journey of mine.

What makes a good coach? WELLLL, I’ve agonized over this for nearly six years now and have recently had a breakthrough that is enabling me to move forward from that sticky place of self judgment. For many of you who have been following my journey, you have seen me dip my toe in the water and talk about coaching, but then quietly recluse back into my comfortable shell of hands-on massage therapy and bodywork. You see, I can sense things. Now, this isn’t one of those Sixth Sense “I see dead people” moments; however, I am...

Why is human connection so important? Human connection is the sense of closeness and belonging a person can experience when having supportive relationships with those around them. Connection is when two or more people interact with one another and each feels valued, seen and heard. There’s no judgment and you feel uplifted by interacting with them. PsychCentral provides examples of human connection such as a chat over coffee, hug from a partner after a long day or a hike in the woods with a family member. Connecting with someone...

Affordability.

How do you put a value on peace of mind? You don’t. But, you do make a decision. Once you make a decision, you set your emotional intent for the decision and the universe, through the Law of Attraction, will align with your emotional intent and the means will be there. Be it the financial means or the time to allocate to your journey. You get what you pay for. This has proven true for me every step of the way throughout my life. You ultimately get out of something what you put into it. If you take advantage of every opportunity for...

It’s time for transition.

Just for those who may not know me – I touch people for a living and have done so for about two decades! LOL After a very unpredictable last few months of cancelations by me and by clients, I’m excited to report to be doing well after having a small and very mild case of Covid for the second time early January. While I continue to be grateful for my strong immune system, I am pivoting, again, and simplifying a lot this year. Two weeks ago, started a new gig and am excited for the challenge as it utilizes two things I’ve done for...

Vintage Vibes and Vision

If you’ve been following me on Facebook, you may have noticed that I’ve recently purchased a 1979 Coachman Cadet pull-behind camper and I’m beginning the renovation process. Having just returned from a vacation with my partner and his phat RV motor coach that we secured together earlier this year, I’m even more convinced that a goal I set for myself years ago is coming to fruition. The law of attraction is bringing things into place again and I’m excited to go with the flow. For years, I’ve talked about how...

It’s okay to not be okay, just don’t stay there too long.

It’s okay to not be okay, just don’t stay there too long.

While wogging (my creative way of explaining a walk/jog) at the Springfield Nature Center yesterday, I was reminded of how effective exercise is, especially exercising outside, at managing my depression. Being thrown off track in the gym was just the beginning of a series of events that contributed to the reawakening of rebellious Christy. She’s the one who sometimes forgets that when she’s angry and resentful at a situation, that anger and resentment turns to depression and only hurts her in the end. So, here I am roughly 20...

Why the name change?

This year, well, the last two years have been interesting to say the least. I’ve found a lot of comfort in the story that is told about the farmer and his son that I first read in The Way of the Peaceful Warrior and have done my best to stop seeing things as good or bad, but just as they are. If I’ve learned anything in my almost 45 years on this planet, it’s that everything is constantly evolving so don’t get too comfortable. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn’t promised, so you might as well do your absolute...

Your Vibe Matters

In physics, vibrations are the mechanical oscillations(movements) of an object going up and down a equilibrium point. All things in the Universe are just constant vibrations. All matter is just different types of vibrations. Our thoughts literally become our things.

My Break from Social Media

My Break from Social Media

Any of you watch The Social Dilemma on Netflix yet? I watched it back in October. That combined with a lot of transition in my personal life, I chose to take a conscious break from social media, especially Facebook. I believe I even posted about it and attempted to drive some friends and followers to my Instagram business page while I tightened up the privacy on all my personal pages. I did this heading into November, which is ironically one of the more challenging times of the year for me. This is generally when my seasonal depression...

The Power of the Pivot

The Power of the Pivot

I’m honored to be a part of a tight knit group of ladies who, even through the pandemic, have stayed in touch and supported one another. Have you ever noticed how your body feels after you’ve had a conversation with a friend who needed their spirits lifted? You felt better, too, right? Since February, I’ve noticed more and more ’empowerment’ groups popping up on Facebook and in conversations with clients. Women’s circles, men’s circles, Zoom calls, use of apps like House Party and Facebook Messenger...
