47 Aware Toolkit

Interestingly enough, almost exactly one-year later, energy is bubbling up again around goals to keep consistency in self care practices each day. January 16, 2023, Christy launched something she called the 47 Aware Challenge which was a spin-off of the 75 Hard Challenge, but created to be a bit more attainable. After launch, she had a handful of folks interested in joining her, but like a lot of things, it kind of fizzled out, but not before leading her to her journey with cacao plant medicine to feel into the heart-space to create a new level of internal awareness.

Now, after an incredible journey for the last 12 months, she’s being led back to the basics of creating daily habits to stay focused on genuinely leading by example. The basics include doing these five things every day and giving yourself a goal of doing it for 47 days straight…

1. Morning Mantra 10 times in the Mirror

Choose your favorite mantra and say it in the mirror 10 times every day. Come up with one of your own or use one from this list:

  • All of life comes to me with ease, joy and glory.
  • I love you, [insert your name here].
  • I create my own path and walk it with joy.
  • My positive thoughts guide me to new heights.
  • Good health is a practice and I have patience.
  • Money comes to me easily and freely.
  • I will speak with confidence and self assurance today.
  • My commitment to myself is unbreakable.

2. Write Down 4-7 Awarenesses (new or continued)

Sit quietly with a pen and paper or your journal and write down 4 to 7 awareness is that come to mind. Things like:

  • How does your body feel?
  • What are some things you’re grateful for today?
  • Who might appreciate hearing from you?
  • Do you need more sunlight today?
  • What can you give today?
  • What does your body desire today?
  • Maybe I need a massage?

3. Drink 1/2 Your Bodyweight in Water

Do you think it’s a coincidence that water occupies 70% of the earth as well as our bodies?

How much water have you been drinking regularly in order to hydrate all of your muscles, organs, bones, brain, and other tissues?

How amazing would your body function if it had all the water it needed to do so?

Do you think perhaps you would feel less stiff and sore?

Perhaps that afternoon headache would go away all on its own if your brain wasn’t fighting caffeine for water?

 

4. Perform a Minimum of 47 Minutes of Physical Activity

Why 47 minutes? Well, it sure sounds better than whole hour and more than likely you will overachieve! Plus, you can easily get in your workout on your lunch break if time is one of your constraints. Just move your body and here are a number of ways you can get creative to move your body:

🧘🏻‍♀️ Yoga, Pilates, silks, or dancing class
🥊 Kickboxing and martial arts
🌲Go for a hike in nature
🏋🏻‍♀️Work out at the gym with an app or trainer
🚶Go for a walk in your neighborhood
🏊🏻‍♀️ Swimming, tennis, volleyball, sports
🚴🏼‍♂️ Bicycling, running, mountain biking

 

5. Eat Mostly Real Food

🍎 Fruits and vegetables
🚫 No refined/processed sugars
🥩 Choose lean meat, or other protein
🍸 NO ALCOHOL IS THE GOAL *or* limit consumption to 1-3 drinks per week.
📊 Track your calories using an app like @myfitnesspal

Ask your body what it wants to eat!
