New Store Front Opening in My Hometown of Republic, Missouri

UPDATED  – My little store in Republic closed the end of January 2024 and has been relocated within my new location!

Ask and you shall receive! I’ve been looking for a place to showcase my Keith’s Cacao other than our spa and the opportunity presented itself this weekend to rent space in my hometown of Republic, Missouri, and it just happens to be where my most favorite human in the world works – my sister!

For those who know, my sister and I have been on a wild journey together since I asked for her to be in my world back when I was about eight years old and desired a playmate. Now, don’t get me wrong, the trees, rocks, sticks and animals whom I confided in daily were great and all…but it got lonely as a kid, especially moving schools every year until finally landing in Republic at the age of 11. Shortly after we moved from Oklahoma to that small little town, my sister blessed us with her arrival onto this planet. Being 11 years apart has NOT been an easy relationship for either of us, but now that we’re in our 40’s and 30’s, we both understand our soul agreement and are now aligned with purpose as well as a deeper understanding of ourselves.

So….beginning next week, you’ll be able to find a whole section of the Country Sunshine store’s shelves attributed to my new brand, ForResting the Soul. Aside from 100% Pure Ceremonial Grade Cacao that you cannot find anywhere else in the Ozarks except through me, I’ve researched and hand selected some unique and healing gifts from artisans around the country, mostly women-owned and hand-made. My goal is to offer their customers with complementary items to facilitate a reconnection with their true nature. Some of the items you can expect to find:

  • Blooming teas
  • Unique tea diffusers
  • Hemp products
  • Herbal bath and body products
  • Small and large plant potting kits
  • Incenses and smudging supplies
  • Fun stickers and journals
  • Jewelry and more!

Country Sunshine has been in the Republic community as a vintage thrift and unique resale story for several generations and they are in the process of shifting gears a little to provide folks in the Republic area with fresh, organic mushrooms and growing supplies as well as health and wellness products to support active living and healthy lifestyles. Times are changing and they are leading the charge in that small town. I’m excited to see the other vendors coming on board alongside me AND that my baby sister (she’ll always be my baby sister) will be there to share my little store with you while I’m seeing my clients in Springfield.

Look for more updates on this as my little storefront opens up because I’ll soon offer a mini cacao ceremony one Saturday morning for those wanting a little preview of what makes cacao different from the chocolate you are used to seeing in your grocery stores.

Also, please definitely keep me in mind for your holiday shopping needs! If there is anything specific you might want me to carry, I’m open to ideas. 🙂

  1. I am so excited for you and your baby sister!!! Side note: my brother who is 19 years older than me has always called me LBS – little baby sister!
A cacao ceremony would be awesome and I am anxious to see all the other offerings in the store!

  2. Hi Christy:
Just read through your new site and all the new options you are providing. I am so glad you are making new avenues for yourself. I will definitely stop by the store and enjoy the experience. Take care!

  3. I’m sorry I’m just now acknowledging this, Diana! Thank you for your patience with me, although I know you know what’s been going on. I’m looking to offer ceremonies again very soon and would love to have you join me! 🙂

  4. Thank you for your patience with me, Barbara! I sure hope this finds you doing well and that your new year is off to a great start. Now that I’ve moved business locations, I’ll soon be moving my inventory from the Republic store to my new office space and online. 🙂
