Just the Facts: Uncertainty, Pain and Constant Work

Wow. Okay….generally speaking, I tend to be the eternal optimist and try to redirect or not stare pain in the face. Instead, just put it in a box, on a shelf of a locked cabinet that sits in the external storage unit of my mind, located within a property secured by chains and a lock…um, you get the idea. But, the reality is we must make friends with the darkness, invite it over for dinner and feed it healthier food.

Climbing outside of comfort zones is where we gain the most perspective. I’ve been dancing [and stumbling] around outside of mine quite a bit lately. This fall has presented several opportunities for growth and evolution. It began early September where I became a founding member of a brand new company, both product testing and marketing it. The end of October, I became certified as an Access Consciousness Bars Practitioner (BP). And, just this week, I returned from nearly two weeks deep in the jungle of Costa Rica where five days were spent at the Imiloa Institute for a vegan Kundalini yoga retreat. As you might imagine, my acceptance and understanding of discomfort has increased several ‘scoches‘.

Dr. Stutz tools for working on your life force. It’s also interesting that my sister, whom I was SO excited to see last night after my return from the jungle, and I watched a documentary on Netflix titled STUTZ. Jonah Hill allowed himself to get super vulnerable and authentic while sharing his AND his therapist, Phil Stutz’, stories as well as Dr. Stutz’ ideas and TOOLS for healing and living a happy life. This documentary paralleled and supported EVERYTHING I’ve been deeply contemplating this last month. From focusing on diet, exercise and energy medicine/spirituality to acknowledging that the only way to “God” is through our relationships with ourselves, expressing gratitude, feeling grateful and actively loving ourselves and others.

After my profound experience with a praying mantis in the jungle, I’m reminded and now open to accepting the possibility that ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS ASK when we need help. Some call it prayer and that’s okay. You can call it whatever feels good for you. No matter what you call it…the “watchamacallit” (as my grandma used to say) of talking to source works. I hope you choose to do more of it. I know I certainly am.

And, if you’re ready to take some kind of action to get out of your own comfort zones where you may feel stuck and imagine how much better it CAN get, let me know or follow the links to learn more:
